Issue Date: | Apr-2022 | Publisher: | Lexington Books | Abstract: | Abstract The chapter interrogates the nexus between the COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in the loss of lives, panic and despair, on the other hand and the overwhelming avalanche of information with which [people fail to grapple, on the other hand. This scenario, the authors maintain, has been exacerbated by the proliferation of digital technologies and ubitiquos social media use. The authors then explore praxis- oriented approaches that are being used by librarians to overcome the COVID-2019 pandemic and infodemic. Using an interpretivist approach, the usefulness of multimodal literacies, including health, information and digital literacies will be investigated in this chapter. | URI: | https://cris.library.msu.ac.zw/jspui/handle/123456789/5201 |
