The history of Zimbabwean football is tracked in this research, analyzing the developmental strategies which were implemented by ZIFA towards football. Zimbabwean football has passed through many phases which have seen the game experiencing a number of changes which came through the election of different executives and also the formation of the PSL and the coming of women football into limelight. The Premier Soccer League is made up of the local football clubs which thrive to create the best league in the continent. Various causes have contributed to the birth of the PSL and notable results have been seen through its formation. Women football another entity which has been researched in this study stipulates on the development of women football in Zimbabwe, leading to the creation of the Women Super League and the National team. Transitions in football had also seen the administrations being involved in rampant corruption and mismanagement problems which have impacted negatively Zimbabwean football, with the most notable results of financial debts and declining of football standards. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/11408/4025 |
