    <summary type="text">Title: The Design and Implementation of a Computerized Student Registration System at a Local Primary School

Abstract: Primary school educational system starts from ECDA to grade seven. A pupil can enroll at ECDA and progress until grade seven at the same school or can start at one school and then transfer to several schools until he or she finishes   grade 7. Both scenarios described above needs a pupil to register into a specific school system where the head of the school authorizes the registration of the pupil. The pupil or guardian approaches the head who assess the pupil documents and other check points and if all is in order the head refers to the secretary who do the manual process of registering the pupil into a relevant class and level and also facilitates the payment of registration and school fees. The current system is a manual operated system where new student are registered manually in a new, student register where admission number, student name and other details are recorded. After the student is assigned his/her class, another record is written down. The person in charge of admission of the student has to count the number of the manually. The school uses manual system in the process of administration and its data is stored on paper in files. The administration of the school collects information from students and this is the student personal details. This includes student’s name, country and village of origin, medical details and parents/ guardian details are also kept including their marital status, phone number and address. Before admission the student has to pay half the school fees. During the admission a student is issued with admission number and class. After the process the student is given a script bearing his name, admission number and the respective class. All this become more tedious wastage of time and also high cost of operation. Some of the information may be lost due to natural disaster, movement of file and also storage of files. The person who will be in charge of the system will be able to register new student, also be able to track student information without hinder. The system will have a back up if any natural disaster occurs so as to retrieve the information needed.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: An investigation into the challenges in the adoption of information communication and technology in a selected primary school in Warren Park

Abstract: Lack of ICT resources has negatively impacted on the full and effective adoption of ICT in education as well as the implementation of the new curriculum in the Zimbabwean context. ICT was adopted in the primary schools but the level of adoption is still in its infancy stage due to mainly shortage of resources and facilitators who lack ICT skills. This study sought to dig deeper into the challenges that are hindering the effective adoption of ICT in the primary school. Questionnaire, Interviews and Observations were used for data collection in this research study. A sample of 41 participants was selected from a target population of 409 teachers and students. Selection of teachers was done using purposive sampling and students using random sampling. Mixed method paradigm was used and the research design employed was a case study. Data were analysed using frequencies and percentages. Findings revealed that effective ICT adoption is mainly hindered by shortage of ICT tools and lack of expertise. Recommendations were made to&#xD;
the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education through the district do some &#xD;
 follow ups in the primary schools in order to ensure that ICTs are being used in teaching and learning. The ministry can as well can facilitate the purchasing of ICT by engaging companies that sell ICT equipment so that the schools can procure them at favourable prices and conditions. The schools can also harness the adoption by adopting the tablet computers to use in classrooms. The recommendations would promote the effective and full of adoption and integration of ICTs in the primary schools.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Methods of using iICT tools in the teaching of mathematics at junior level in Makoni district primary schools.

Abstract: The primary objective of this study was to find out methods of using ICT tools in the teaching of Mathematics at junior level in primary schools. Specifically, the study sought to gain an appreciation of the extent to which teachers use different ICT tools in the teaching and learning processes in Mathematics at junior level in primary schools. A descriptive survey approach was used to collect the data on methods of using ICT tools. The study used questionnaires and interviews as research instruments. Questionnaires were completed by twelve teachers, five males and seven females. Interviews were conducted with four heads of schools, three males and one female. Convenient sampling techniques were used to select the sample. The study revealed that many teachers use the drill and practice method in teaching Mathematics using ICT tools like computers, laptops, as well as white boards. From the study it also emerged that school leaders should work to source the ICT resources needed like overhead projectors and tablets. From the study it can be concluded that some policies like assessment policies need to be reviewed to cater for the use of ICT tools. In addition to the reviewing of assessment policies, it was also concluded that there is need for all stakeholders to be actively involved in the acquisition of various ICT tool. The findings of the study  recommends that the Ministry Of Primary and Secondary Education and schools should provide in-service training for teachers so that they keep abreast of new developments in software and ICT tools used in teaching.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Factors influencing the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning of O’ level geography in Chirumanzu district

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to find the factors influencing the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning of O’ level Geography in Chirumanzu District. It was significant for the researcher to carry out the study because there is need for provision of relevant technological equipment to enable students to develop skills that are essential for a technological age. The qualitative research design was used which allowed the generation of empirical data using thematic analysis approach. The data generating instruments used were the interview and observation schedule as well as the document analysis. A sample of three teachers and three heads of departments was purposively selected on the bases of the availability of computers. The findings from this study revealed that teachers were qualified and experienced enough to teach O’ level Geography. However shortage of teaching and learning resources and negative attitude portrayed by the teachers towards the integration of ICT are the major contributing factors causing slow integration. The researcher recommends that schools should carry out fundraising activities in order to avail resources for the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning of Geography. Workshops or staff development sessions should be carried out so that teachers are well informed and equipped to minimize their negative attitudes</summary>
