This chapter discusses the discourse related to climate colonialism from a decolonial perspective. It argues that climate colonialism accelerated the climate crisis in Africa as it led to desertification, environmental degradation, carbon emissions, deforestation, and the universality of Western knowledge. It concludes that African governments should advocate for climate policies that acknowledge the role of colonialism, capitalism, and marginalization of the continent by the Euro-Western powers and institutions.en_US
