Abstract: The issue of EMF radiation has for years been received with mixed feelings by all stakeholders. In this study, the relationship between EMF exposure levels with distance from the mobile base station has been illustrated. The contributions of each frequency band used by mobile operators in Zimbabwe, with reference to the area of study has been assessed and compared using well informed data and assumptions. Graphs have been used to clearly show such contributions and matlab was used for simulation purposes. Exposure to single sources and two sources or more was considered in simulating exposure levels. The research also deduces the safe zone margin from mobile base stations with particular reference to the area of study. Exposure level values obtained were also compared with ICNIRP guidelines and recommendations have been given to various stakeholders.
